Conrail Grade Crossings

Statewide NJDOT/Conrail Grade Crossings

Remove existing section of mainline track and road surface. Excavate and grade for new crossing panels. Install new Startrack and OMEGA crossing panels, and 136RE rail with rubber inserts. Excavate and install storm drainage. Pave approaches. Each crossing replacement performed during a 48-hour track and road outage. Total of 84 crossings completed statewide.
